For the past several months, High Five Events, the producer of the 3M Half Marathon, has been part of COVID-19 related task forces on the City, County, State, and National levels, reviewed and consulted on other event plans, and has been working to develop COVID-19 protocols for endurance events that best reflect the information currently available.

During our latest meeting with the City of Austin and Austin Public Health, the collaborative decision was made to cancel the 3M Half Marathon on January 17th and move the Austin Marathon to the alternative date of April 25, 2021, and it will consist of a Half Marathon, 5K, and 1 Mile run.

While this is very disappointing news, we feel very confident in the April 25th date based on our coordination with Austin Public Health.  We are happy that we can offer it as an option to 3M Half Marathon participants..

2021 participants will have the option to transfer to the Austin Half Marathon or defer their registration to a later date. All of these options are available at no additional cost.

  • Transfer to the Austin Half Marathon on April 25, 2021
  • Defer to the 2022 3M Half Marathon on January 23, 2022
  • Defer to the 2023 3M Half Marathon on January 22, 2023
  • Defer to the 2024 3M Half Marathon on January 21, 2024

All 2021 participants were sent an email with a form to fill out to complete their request. If you did not receive the email please check your spam/junk folder, it was sent from info@3Mhalf.com. If you still cannot find the email you can use the live chat function located at the bottom right hand of the screen and we can help resend it to you.

Be sure to stay up to date with the 3M Half Marathon as we prepare to run Downhill to Downtown on January 24, 2022.
