We’re excited to announce our new relay option for the half marathon, offering runners the chance to share the experience with friends, family, or colleagues.

As a relay team, you and your teammate will collectively complete 13.1 miles to the finish line.

Runner One: 6.2 Miles
Runner Two: 6.9 Miles

The Relay Team Exchange Zone is located at the 3M Half Marathon 10K marker which is near the Great Northern Dog Park.

Navigating Your Relay Transition:

1. Transport to the Finish Line: There’s no shuttle service from the relay zone to the finish line. If you, as the first runner, wish to cheer on your teammate at the finish, consider parking a vehicle near the relay exchange zone before the race starts. Alternatively, rideshare services offer a convenient way to navigate race day logistics.
2. Celebrating Your Achievement – Finisher Medal Collection: Whether you choose to join the finish line festivities or not, rest assured your well-deserved finisher medal awaits! You can collect your medal at the finish line, or, if you prefer, your relay partner can joyfully pick it up on your behalf.

Remember, your participation as the first runner is complete at the relay exchange zone. Your presence at the finish line is entirely optional and does not impact your team’s relay completion.

Where To Park:
Park off of Far West Blvd. (west of Mopac) and use the sky bridge to cross over to Great Northern. Parking is also available around the neighborhood; please observe all parking signs and do not block any driveway.

Need to Know:

• It is the relay team’s responsibility to know when your runner is arriving at the exchange zone. DO the math and calculate the pace they plan to run by the mileage.
• When your runner arrives, please be courteous to other runners and step into the designated area of the course to exchange the chip. This will ensure the safety of all runners and maintain the integrity of the race.

Relay Packet Pick Up:

• Either relay team member can pick up the packet during the expo. ID is required for the person picking up the packet. More packet pick up details.
• The relay packet packet will include two bibs and one timing chip that the members will trade off at the exchange zone.

The Relay Timing Chip

• The relay timing chip has a sticker on the back. Use the sticker to turn the relay band into a VERY loose bracelet. Do NOT put it on too tight as it needs to be shared by both relay runners and there is only one.
