If you purchased Spot Cancel For Any Reason Insurance (CFAR) when registering, you can contact Spot Insurance directly to submit your claim at [email protected].
If you did not purchase Spot Cancellation Insurance, we’re happy to offer the following options:
TRANSFER TO THE VIRTUAL EVENT
Participants can transfer to the Virtual Event.
- Deadline: Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
- Fee: $10.00

TRANSFER TO THE ASCENSION SETON AUSTIN MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, OR 5K
Participants may transfer to the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Austin Half Marathon, or 5K, which takes place in February.
- Deadline: Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday of event weekend.
- Fee: $30.00 transfer fee + any registration price difference at the time of transfer.
- Example: If the Austin International Half registration fee was $89.00 and the Austin Half Marathon registration is currently $129.00, the total fee for the transfer would be $70.00 ($30.00 transfer fee + $40.00 price difference).
IMPORTANT POLICIES
All registration transfers must be approved and processed through High Five Events and the Austin International Half.
- Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person outside of this process will have their registration revoked, be disqualified, and removed from the race. They will also be prohibited from participating in future events owned or produced by High Five Events.
- Similarly, anyone attempting to participate in the event using another participant’s race entry/bib will face the same penalties.
Transfers can only be requested up to the deadlines listed on the event website. Requests cannot be processed for an event that has already taken place.

These adjustments may include modifications to deadlines, fees, or procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the event and to accommodate evolving logistical or safety considerations.
