Refund, Deferral & Transfer Policy
What options do I have if I can’t participate on race day?
High Five Events, the producer of this event, is an operation employing many full-time staff members who work on this event year-round to ensure a fun and safe environment. Almost all of the supplies and services for the event must be purchased well in advance of the actual event date. We have worked hard to ensure there are options available while also being sure we can continue to offer the best quality event year after year.
All registration transfers must be approved and processed through High Five Events and Austin International Half, formally 3M Half Marathon. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person through a non-approved process will have said race entry/bib revoked, be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events. Any Persons trying to participate in the event using another participant’s race entry/bib as part of a non-approved transfer will be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events.
A refund, deferral, or transfer can only be requested up to the deadlines listed on the event website. Requests cannot be processed for an event that has already taken place.
The Transfer/Deferral/ Refund Policy is subject to change at any time.
TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT
Participants may transfer their registration to another participant of their choosing.
Fee: $40.00

How it works: Once the transfer request is approved, the owner of the bib will receive an email with a customized registration link that includes the transfer fee that they will forward to the person they are transferring the bib to. The recipient of the new link will fill out the new registration form and pay the transfer fee.
For the safety of all participants, participants may not give or sell their entry to anyone as a part of a non-approved transfer. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
Shirt size not guaranteed for transferred registrations.
TRANSFER TO THE RELAY
Find a friend and share the distance by transferring to the relay. Each person will complete half the run course. Once a transfer request is submitted it cannot be reversed.
Fee: $40.00 + any registration price difference at the time.
The owner of the registration is responsible for finding another person to share the relay with.

TRANSFER TO THE VIRTUAL EVENT
Participants can transfer to the Virtual Event. Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20.
Fee: $10.00

TRANSFER FROM THE VIRTUAL TO THE IN-PERSON EVENT
Participants can transfer from the Virtual 3M Half Marathon to the in-person event before race day.
Fee: $55.00
TRANSFER TO THE AUSTIN MARATHON, Half Marathon, or 5K.
Participants may transfer to the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Austin Half Marathon, or 5K. Not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18.
Fee: $30.00 transfer fee + any registration price difference at the time.
For example, Austin International Half, formally 3M Half Marathon Registration is currently $89.00 and the Austin Half Marathon registration is currently $99.00. Then the total fee for the transfer is $40.00.
DEFER ONE YEAR
If you are currently registered for the 2025 Austin International Half, formally 3M Half Marathon you may apply to defer your registration one year.

Deferrals are not available after 11/18.
Once a deferral is submitted, the decision is final and cannot be reversed.
REFUNDS
50% refunds are available through August 14. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
