3M Half Marathon Unveils its Official Mascot

“Blaze” to Ignite The 30th Anniversary Celebration

In a blaze of excitement, the 3M Half Marathon, one of Austin’s premier running events, proudly introduces its brand-new mascot, Blaze, to commemorate the event’s 30th anniversary. The milestone year promises to be a celebration of speed, spirit, and community, and Blaze will serve as the official ambassador, embodying the fast and exhilarating nature of the 3M Half Marathon course. The event is set to happen on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Blaze, a dynamic and energetic character, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the 3M Half Marathon course, renowned for its fast downhill stretches that challenge and inspire participants. The mascot’s vibrant personality reflects the enthusiasm and passion of the thousands of runners who have made the 3M Half Marathon a staple in Austin’s thriving running community.

Blaze takes the form of an ethereal being, a manifestation of pure energy and vibrant colors. When not in motion, Blaze appears as a swirling mass of iridescent mist, constantly shifting and changing. However, when running, Blaze’s form solidifies into a humanoid shape. Their body is composed of wispy flames, pulsating with fiery hues of red, orange, and gold. From their head, a crown of crackling lightning arcs upwards, and their eyes glow with the intensity of a summer sun.

“We are thrilled to introduce Blaze as the official mascot for the 3M Half Marathon’s 30th anniversary. Blaze embodies the essence of our event – speed, excitement, and the spirit of the running community,” said Stacy Keese, co-owner of High Five Events. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this milestone year, as Blaze adds a new layer of fun and energy to the already thrilling 3M Half Marathon experience.”

The 3M Half Marathon has been a staple in the Austin running scene since its inception, attracting runners from across the country to experience the unique course and vibrant atmosphere. Blaze, the new mascot, adds an extra layer of excitement to the 30th-anniversary edition, promising an unforgettable celebration for participants, volunteers, and spectators alike.
